Han Alister thought he had already lost everyone he loved. But when he finds his friend Rebecca Morley near death in the Spirit Mountains, Han knows that nothing matters more than saving her. The costs of his efforts are steep, but nothing can prepare him for what he soon discovers: the beautiful, mysterious girl he knew as Rebecca is none other than Raisa ana’Marianna, heir to the Queendom of the Fells. Han is hurt and betrayed. He knows he has no future with a blueblood. And, as far as he’s concerned, the princess’s family killed his own mother and sister. But if Han is to fulfill his end of an old bargain, he must do everything in his power to see Raisa crowned queen.
Meanwhile, some people will stop at nothing to prevent Raisa from ascending. With each attempt on her life, she wonders how long it will be before her enemies succeed. Her heart tells her that the thief-turned-wizard Han Alister can be trusted. She wants to believe it—he’s saved her life more than once. But with danger coming at her from every direction, Raisa can only rely on her wits and her iron-hard will to survive—and even that might not be enough.
The Gray Wolf Throne is an epic tale of fierce loyalty, unbearable sacrifice, and the heartless hand of fate.
Review by Jess
THE GRAY WOLF THRONE, by Cinda Williams Chima is the third installment of the Seven Realms series and this is best one yet! This installment is full of non-stop action and scheming! It's a fast pace read and intense!
I was amazed by Chima's latest novel. The characters seem to get more and more complex and I feel like I can really connect with all of the characters and understand their point of view. I am in love with Han! Chima has done such a wonderful job developing him as a character and his role in Princess Raisa's life. Them together make me swoon and as a reader, knowing both their secrets that they keep from each other I want so badly for everything to be revealed.
It was really nice to see such a change in the Princess Raisa and see her really grow into her royal role. I found that even through all the tough times Raisa experienced in this novel she was a strong princess and I think readers will find they can look up to her.
I was worried that the beginning of this novel would be a slow start, but it picked up right away and I couldn't put it down, I actually had dreams about the characters. I am hooked and loving it.

It’s not all finalized, but I thought I would give you a preview of where I’ll be this fall as I travel the country for the launch of The Gray Wolf Throne, the third book in the Seven Realms series.
Here’s a map of the tour to date.
It includes a launch at The Learned Owl, an indie bookstore in Hudson Ohio, a national tour beginning with an event September 19 at Watermark Books in Wichita, KS, and some special events, including Dragon*Con in Atlanta, where I’ll be a guest author, the World Fantasy Convention in San Diego, where I’ll be a panelist, Books by the Banks in Cincinnati, and the Buckeye Bookfair in Wooster, OH. Before it’s over, I’ll have visited nine states and hopefully met many of you!
You can find a list of all public events on my
website here.
as new information comes in.

In part, Kirkus said,
Chima navigates with graceful ease through multiple viewpoints and intricately realized settings united only by a subtle current of magic. Every character is both likable and flawed, written with such clear-eyed compassion that it impossible not to sympathize with all their competing goals.
Indispensible for those already committed to the series; those who aren’t should go back to the beginning and start.
Look for it in the July 15, 2011 Edition!

Well, the cat is totally out of the bag on this one, as sharp-eyed reader and blogger extraordinaire

The Gray Wolf Throne in the Disney-Hyperion Catalog and posted it on
Goodreads!
Plus sharp-eyed FB friend
Beau Bouliane spotted the cover on a poster I brought to the Local Author program at the Crocker Park Barnes & Noble.
Well, then. For those of you who haven’t already seen it, here is the official cover for The Gray Wolf Throne.
As an added bonus, I’ll post the awesome poster Hyperion designed for me.
Sad day! Still no dates near my city - if only the tour was next year! I'll be in Langley, BC next September! >.<
