Thanks to Anna and Hatchette Book Group, we are giving away 3 copies of The Art of Choosing: The Subtext of Life by Sheena Iyengar and read by Orlagh Cassidy.
About the Book:
Every day we make choices. Coke or Pepsi? Save or spend? Stay or go? Whether mundane or life-altering, these choices define us and shape our lives. Sheena Iyengar asks the difficult questions about how and why we choose: Is the desire for choice innate or bound by culture? Why do we sometimes choose against our best interests? How much control do we really have over what we choose? Sheena Iyengar's award-winning research reveals that the answers are surprising and profound. In our world of shifting political and cultural forces, technological revolution, and interconnected commerce, our decisions have far-reaching consequences.

I never really think about choosing unless it's a really big issue. I'd really like to hear what the authors think.

I believe that our choices can play a significant part in what defines us as a person and what shapes our lives. What about those choices that are made by "gut" instinct alone? This would be an interesting book to read to see how the authors reached their conclusions.
Thank you,
Christine

Very interesting concept to explore exactly WHY we make the decisions we do...so many of us just make them and move on without really evaluating why. I think I would enjoy this!
Thanks,
Colleen

I've been a life-long student of why people make the choices they do: why this and not that? Sounds like this book will aid my understanding of this very human phenomenon.

I just think this sounds very interesting and I would be interested to hear what the authors have to say about making choices in our lives.
I would love to win this! I find myself kind of indecisive... sometimes I genuinely do not care one way or the other. So I think it would be an interesting look to see how and why people make decisions; perhaps it would help me better make my own!

Thanks for the giveaway!
I love philosophy of any kind, and this book seems perfect. If you can determine the motive behind the decisions... you can tell a lot about people!
Thanks!
