Netflix has released the trailer for the third season of Orange is the New Black. Thus far, the trailer has drawn over 1.7 million views on YouTube.
The video embedded above features scenes with Taylor Schilling as Piper Chapman, Kate Mulgrew as Galina \"Red\" Reznikov, and Uzo Aduba as Suzanne \"Crazy Eyes\" Warren. All fourteen episodes of season three will be made available on June 12th. (via Gothamist.com)

Abrams has released an Orange is the New Black-inspired cookbook. The Cookbook: Bites, Booze, Secrets, and Stories from Inside the Big House contains 60 photos and 65 recipes.
Some of the dishes featured in this book include “prison punch” and “Red’s chicken kiev.”The Root has posted a recipe for “Pennsatucky’s Family Beer Can Bird.”
This project was a collaboration between Jenji Kohan (the creator of the Netflix series), Tara Hermann, Hartley Voss, and Alex Regnery. The Daily News reports that fans can meet two stars from the show, Taylor Schilling and Uzo Aduba, at a Barnes & Noble signing event (the Fifth Avenue branch in New York City) on October 17th.

According to Time, “the series premiered to critical acclaim last summer, and though Netflix does not release its audience data, it was rumored to have outpaced Netflix’s other popular originals, including House of Cards and the Arrested Development reboot, in viewership.” All 13 episodes of season two will come out on June 06, 2014.

Taylor Schilling (Mercy) beat out actresses including Abbie Cornish and Katie Cassidy to score the female lead opposite Zac Efron in The Lucky One, an adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel. The book tells the story of a Marine (Efron) who attributes his survival of three tours of duty in Iraq to a photograph he’s kept of a woman (Schilling) he doesn’t even know.
