No new art today but a WONDERFUL new artist to check out. (Well, she's new to me.)
Marsha Robinett does absolutely gorgeous black and white work.
Her blog is full of great tutorials and I was especially interested in this post about her art materials.
I found her through another artist friend's blog, Cindy Haase, who does beautiful colored pencil work AND crafty things.
Get your fresh coffee and prepare to sit a spell...

So yesterday was the anniversary of one of the most amazing musical moments of all time, the release of St. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The album kicked off the Summer of Love (we can only hope this summer is 1/10 as exciting) and everything changed. The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography and the American National Biography celebrated the event with an interactive album cover. To trip just click.

Thanks Paula for the link. Marsha's work is wonderful. I just received her free print and can't wait to frame it. I ordered "Cracked on Black". She's an absolutely lovely and fun person.
Paula,
What an uplifting experience to read your email and then to see the wonderful things you wrote about my work on your blog...it was just what I needed after spending the day "trying" to get home to Illinois from NY. Flying is now a wait and see experience! I arrived home feeling beaten up and exhausted. Your email was perfectly timed.
Love your Yarn Series. You've inspired me to do something similar for a friend who has a yarn shop.
Thanks again for the kind words and the link to my site.
Fabulous drawings. Great blog. Look forward to reading much more!
