The idea of the woman who lived in the shoe is a legendary story and my submission for Illustration Friday's "Legendary " theme. This is how her shoe would look if it were plopped down in the San Fernando Valley. Possibly in a tract home setting with a spanish influence. It looks like it fit's right in! copyright 2009 Valerie Walsh
Happy Birthday Dee Dee xoxoxoxoxo

Not only is she legendary, she has great style!
impossible no to smile looking at this
:D
Pretty house/shoe! It fits perfectly in with the others. :)
My, the lady is stylin'! Looks like she just went shoe shopping in Madrid. Neighborhoods would be so much more fun if you designed them.
great take on the theme, you've always found the right story for your houses. ^_^
I love this legend and love the way you illustrated it!
What a stylish home! Love how it stands out from the rest. I wonder what the neighbors think? Great work!
i agree with bella. imagine if you and an architect/builder designed a whole neighborhood?
ooooooh! imagine!

fantastic illo..reminds me of a park where there was a big giant shoe house and we used to imagine and wish we lived in a giant shoe:)
oh yes, it looks like it really fits right in! and i am imagining about the inside....uhmmmmmm
Wonderful colors-- I think it's the nicest house on the block! :-)
haha...i want to live in it! Then I could let it go with the dog, when it's raining....
Pretty pastel colors! I'm sure she could give the Octomom some tips!
Beautiful - what I like is the way you have to do a double-take before you realise that the shoe house isn't the same as all the others! It's such a lovely, delicate piece - gorgeous!!
Do these shoes require a certain kind of "hose?"
:D
I love every single one of your houses!!
Well, if the shoe was this stylish, who would mine living in it! It's great and one of my personal favorites!
I would wish to stay in this cute shoe house but it's just alegendary only....never mind, just let my mind stray into this legendary for a couple of minutes for a ponder:)
the perfect house for this prompt....and beautifully rendered !!!!
Great idea for "Legendary." This piece is rendered beautifully too. Very nice work.
oh I am so glad you got around to doing this in color - its a really fun and beautiful piece.
too funny! i always wondered exactly how one could live in a shoe. At what point does it cease to be a shoe and become a shoe shaped house?
thanks for stopping by my blog, too!
THis is wonderful!
I had to leave a comment on this one, it's so "just right"!
