2. Book Trailer & Giveaway: Retribution by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I am so excited to be able to showcase the book trailer and host a giveaway for Sherrilyn Kenyon's 20th book in the Dark Hunter series. Check out the trailer and links below and be sure to enter to win a copy!

Retribution (Dark-Hunter #20)

"...Harm no human…

A hired gunslinger, William Jessup Brady lived his life with one foot in the grave. He believed that every life had a price. Until the day when he finally found a reason to live. In one single act of brutal betrayal, he lost everything, including his life. Brought back by a Greek goddess to be one of her Dark-Hunters, he gave his immortal soul for vengeance and swore he’d spend eternity protecting the humans he’d once considered prey.

Orphaned as a toddler, Abigail Yager was taken in by a family of vampires and raised on one belief- Dark-Hunters are the evil who prey on both their people and mankind, and they must all be destroyed. While protecting her adoptive race, she has spent her life eliminating the Dark-Hunters...

3. Today I'm pimping a reader's blog...

An avid reader of paranormal romance is hosting Author Month in April over at Were Vamps Romance blog. A “few” of her guests for April are - Gena Showalter, Cynthia Eden, Dianna Love, Carly Phillips, Sherriyln Kenyon, Nicole Peeler, etc. and then there is little ole’ me. (I’m up today. Yay!) lol. Other than author interviews, prizes, and reviews – Melissa is just super sweet and refreshing. (I made her sound like a soft drink. lol) Come on by and comment.

6. Luncheon with Sherrilyn Kenyon and crew! And Nano!

This past weekend I went to Baton Rouge with a good friend, Debbie Dolme. We attended the Heartla Luncheon. This is the Baton Rouge RWA Group. What a nice bunch of ladies. I got to chat with Sherrilyn Kenyon, Deborah LeBlanc, Diana Rowland, Farrah Rochon, Barbara Colley, and several other wonderful authors. I was surprised to see some ladies that I'd met in RWA Nationals. (waving to the Leger ladies)

The lunch was really good, especially the dark chocolate cake. Yum.

The only minor bump we had was getting to the hotel - the LSU game was only minutes away and traffic was horrible. Matter of fact, we were in the hotel with the Auburn coaches, staff and players.

They put a curtain around our conference room so we wouldn't disturb the players, guess it didn't work. (grin)

Anyway, let's talk about NaNo. I'm a little behind with my goals, but I plan to do a really hard push tomorrow. I'm meeting up with a writing buddy and we will do some writing sprints at Starbucks. With all the caffeine (and chocolate) in my system, my fingers should fly across the keyboard with no problems...

If you are doing Nano - how are you coming along?

7. New York Comic Con 2010, by the Banners

At any publishing convention, the gigantic sponsor banners hung in the rafters provide a glimpse at coming trends and stories people will be talking about this year. We’ve put together a collection of the biggest banners at New York Comic Con today.

Embedded above, Disney’s Tron remake had a humungous banner supporting the Tron book, Betrayal—hanging directly over the convention floor entrance. See more banners below. Check out our New York Comic Con tag for more coverage.
