This one's an oldie ( I'll leave it up to you whether it's a goodie ) from back in ought four. Two page "Creepy Crawly Bingo" game spread for chickaDEE magazine. Sans copy it don't make a whole heckuva lotta sense but the general gist ( I think he was a camp counselor of mine once! ) was that the kids roll a die and cover the creature ( not all bugs, but close enough to count ) with the corresponding number of dots. First to get all six on their card wins!

I saw the challenge for this week and had to dig these up from my old computer. They are from way back when I inked a drawing, scanned it in, colored it in photoshop- and thought it was the coolest. The game pieces were the these blobs of "germs" and the objective was to get to the smelly armpit. But watch out for Deo the Deodorant! Believe it or not, this was part of my senior thesis when I was in school.

This week's theme: Board Games
This week's theme suggested by SFG member and all around super cool chick, Maria Singleton.
Illustrate a character from a board game, design and illustrate your own board game, OR illustrate an existing game. However you can interpret that theme. Use your imagination and go crazy with it!
Post your illustrations based on the theme here on SFG within the week.
Keep your ideas and suggestions for these challenges coming! I'm always looking for new and creative ideas.
Remember, this is a completely voluntary challenge designed solely to stimulate creativity and promote participation. Please don't hesitate to post your other work as normal.
I'm also still looking for illustrators to contribute SFG themed t-shirt designs for tees to be sold on this site. Half of the proceeds from the sales of the t-shirts will be donated to a great charity, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It's a great way for us to take something cool that we all enjoy, like this site, and turn it into something really valuable and worthwhile. Contact me if you're interested, or if you want more information.
Challenge yourselves SFG'ers and have a fantastic week!
The next challenge will begin Thursday, February 22nd, 2007.
