Because it's a dreary day and I really have to force myself for good cheer this morning, I'm throwing the gauntlet for a challenge of sorts. And I'll even dangle the carrot so you'll feel inspired.
The Sunday Challenge can be accomplished in one of two ways:
1. Do something to bring your story forward.
I know it's a Sunday and perhaps there will be zero readers today. Maybe you planned on reading a book or watching movies or relaxing today. But, if you do stop by and choose to make this a productive Sunday...

2. Get to work. Spend 15 minutes, 1 hour, or even the whole day tackling your manuscript or work area. It's your choice. Just do something to jump start your day.
3. Return by TONIGHT (11pm EST) to let me know the results. Your sense of accomplishment will be proof enough.

I have a plan! Shannon Morgan and I are doing FrankenSmack, wherein we'll write competing 1,000 word stories inspired by Frankensteing. I'm gonna get started today - thanks for the motivation, Vivian!
Rain behind us, rain ahead. I'd seen the weather report, so when I got groceries on Friday, I bought a bunch of freesias, too. They just opened and are fragrant, so I will keep my nose bent on manuscript near by. But it's great having company via your challenge to get some work done, too! I've got ten pages that need cleaning up. And am thinking about cookie baking -- more smells!
Vivian, thanks for the gentle push. I cleaned up five pages not ten, but as you say, that's okay. The cookies are in the oven, and I'm calling it a day. Hope yours went well!
Ack! I pretty much took today off! Well, if it counts, I'll say I'm writing a few blog posts ahead of time, which I NEVER do, so I'll stay more organized during the week. :)
What a fun idea! Of course, I'm too late to enter, but I can vouch for the Lush product since I won it from you before -- it's lovely! Hope your day was productive :)
OK, I sorta kinda drafted an outline of what my Frankensteinish story is gonna be. Got a couple of main characters. Got a few potentially interesting secondary characters. Got something like a setting, and something like a backstory. Progress...
Mike and Jeannine--you won! Send me your snail mail address to me at hipwritermama at comcast dot net and let me know your 1st and 2nd choices. I'll do my best to get you what you'd like.

Becky--how did you do?

Sherrie--Thanks!
