Dario Argento's Opera is a flawed film, but the visuals are great. Forget the last 20 minutes, and you'll be really happy with the result.

I want to see it, but I think I want to see the original first ... though that means I'll probably hate the remake.
The original was good. Creepy, surreal. Have yet to see remake.
I saw the original a while back. It was pretty good, creepy and all. The remake is on my list to watch. I keep hearing good things too.
I can't watch it, I haven't read the book yet.

I saw LET THE RIGHT ONE IN last year and it was so brilliant, I was a little unsure about the remake. But I've heard good things, so I will surely take the plunge.
Read the book and saw the movie. As usual, the book was much better. I say go pick up a copy. Now. Scoot!
For all this who have yet to see both the original and the remake . . .
Both are superb! Seriously! Usually, remakes (especially American remakes) are horrendous, but thankfully this was not the case.
Although, Let the Right One In definitely stands apart from Let Me In in a variety of ways (most notably, the sombre tone), the same can be applied vice-versa. What I especially loved about the remake was the intense focus between the main characters; not that that doesn't exist in the original, but the original incorporates side-characters and sub-plots, whereas the remake avoids a lot of those seemingly unnecessary elements. Both Eli and Abby are excellent characters (though Eli is far more vampiric and alluring, whereas Abby is more monstrous), and Oskar and Owen are equally comparable. And personally, I like the bullies in the American version.
Anyway, both are excellent and stand apart from one another in a number of ways. Yet, if hard pressed, I would still have to choose the original. Nevertheless, Let Me In is awesome.
I haven't see either version of this yet, but I heard that while the American version rocks, the Swedish version is double on the rocks.

I haven't watched it because I feared it would taint the original. But based on your approval, I'll give it a chance...

I was worried about this remake too, but I ended up liking it quite a bit.
