1. Manchester United Coach Sir Alex Ferguson Inks Book Deal

HachetteHachette Books has acquired a new business book on leadership by long-time Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson.

The book is called “Leading” and will be co-written by the investor and author Sir Michael Moritz. The book will uncover Ferguson’s 38 year career from Scotland to Manchester United and share his successful leadership strategies. It’s slated for publication in fall 2015.

Here is more from the press release: “Ferguson will cover his success and experience with everything from hiring to firing, from field tactics to teamwork, from dealing with the boardroom to responding to failure and adversity. Sir Alex’s friend Michael Moritz, a successful venture capitalist and former member of the Google Board of Directors, will draw out the wider lessons of how such examples of great leadership can generate long-term, transformational success.”
