My submission for Illustration Friday's "craving" is "Soda Shoppe" an illustration that is an interior , yes, but it is a room for a building in my ValerieGallerie site that is used to house my greeting card section. This is a slightly different version that shows what Babs the cat is craving. A wonderful guy named Brian Coughlin helped me make my site and I will never forget his patience, kindness and generosity. He is a member of the band "Kinch" and a very multi-talented young man. I was in Washington for 7 days and I hung with my pal Louie and we took many beautiful walks together.

Condolences to you and your family.
Run free Louie! XX
I'll miss Louie too. He was gorgeous!
So sorry to hear that, Val. I'm glad you had that week with Louie.
That is so very sad, the unconditional love, happiness and joy of a good dog like Louie is heartbreaking. I'm glad you captured him in this sparky illo.
I'm so sorry to hear that! I could never hold my tears whenever I heard of someone's pet passed away, that reminds me of how pain it was when I saw my pets left me to the rainbow bridge! I think the only thing that console us is there's no regret when they live with us!
Love and hugs,
Julia
Valgal,
This is so cute!! Thanks for posting. Mom & I are heartbroken about Louie but we appreciate all that you've done to make it better. I'm so glad you got to spend time with him this past June and that we didn't have to board him!

What a good friend Louie must have been.
I've just adopted a border collie/sheltie mix and there is never and idle moment!
I am sorry about Louie. He must have been such a joy to his family and to you as well. The card you made was such a loving thing to do for your sister.
The picture of him in the field looks so much like the meadow at my mom's farm house in VT... even the hillside is similar. He must have been a very happy and very loved doggie.
So sorry Val, You really did a great job on the b-day card. What a wonderful tribute to Louie.

It's never easy to lose a pet, especially if they're a close friend. I'm so sorry for your loss but its wonderful to hear of the bond and the friendship you shared.
This is a love interpretation on the theme of idle, spending quality time with a loved one.
