Once again Johnny Martz beat me to the punch by showcasing the wonderful work of L.A. artist, Liz Adams… but since its been a few years, I think its ok that I post about her today. Why “ketchup only”? Who knows – but its part of how Liz describes herself in her Flickr profile… and I like that!
And I really like Liz’s work… and as Johnny wrote back in ‘05, I’m not quite sure why. Liz seems to have stayed true to the style she probably drew in all her life, since she was a kid… there’s a sort of sweet honesty to everything she does that I find really refreshing, fun and appealing.
If Peewee Herman shopped online, he’d probably have something from Liz’s Etsy shop framed on the Playhouse walls.

The artwork is definitely a little Peewee-esque (you know, except for the word “blood” on that bottom one….). :o)
wow, ugly… also, “female illustrator” tag FTW
I have a Liz Adams wallet and it's the coolest thing I own!
