I got an email yesterday from fellow Illustration for Kids Paula Becker where she spotted my book, Light the Menorah, at a local Children's book store called Babar Books in Montreal! She kindly took pics for me.
There it is-do you see it? I'm happy to see how the yellow cover really stands out. I remember while working on this book that there were discussions about having the cover be really bright. It worked! ;-)
What a cute and cozy looking book store! Thanks again Paula for taking the pics...this made me so happy to see :-)
P.S.- Happy Hanukkah!!!

I'm fortunate to live within a few blocks of one of the few (maybe ONLY) independent children's book stores on the Island of Montreal, Babar Books/Livres. This morning I was braving my way to the village post office (we just had our first big snow of the season so...treacherous!), and passed by Babar, glancing up to see their window display of books. Smack dab in front was Light the Menorah, a book illustrated by our own IFKer, Jannie Ho! Fortunately I had my iPhone with me and snapped a few pictures. Look how it stands out even from across the street! Eye-catching, indeed! Congrats, Jannie! Loved seeing your art work so prominently displayed!

Congratulations! Such a cute book and I love the pictures of a quaint little bookstore covered in snow.
Congratulations!!!
Yeah! It does look great in the window and pops right out.
That's so great! Congratulations! I'm looking forward to the day that I'll see my first book in the stores - the illustrations are almost done! There's nothing like the feeling of seeing something we create actually "out there" and not just on our computer screen. =)
Such an adorable little store to house your illustrations in!!! I'm so darn proud of you.
aww looks wonderful! I can spot it all the way from here :o)
What a wonderful feeling, to see your book on the bookstore window. Congratulations!! xo
It looks great! The shop is amazing, like your books. Congrat, Chicken girl
