The battle against goblinkind continues . . . but which side will Teagan be on?
Teagan, Finn, and Aiden have made it out of Mag Mell alive, but the Dark Man’s forces are hot on their heels. Back in Chicago, Tea’s goblin cousins show up at her school, sure she will come back to Mag Mell, as goblin blood is never passive once awoken. Soon she will belong to Fear Doirich and join them. In the meantime, they are happy to entertain themselves by trying to seduce, kidnap, or kill Tea’s family and friends. Tea knows she doesn’t have much time left, and she refuses to leave Finn or her family to be tortured and killed. A wild Stormrider, born to rule and reign, is growing stronger inside her. But as long as she can hold on, she’s still Teagan Wylltson, who plans to be a veterinarian and who heals the sick and hurting. The disease that’s destroying her—that’s destroying them all—has a name: Fear Doirich. And Teagan Wylltson is not going to let him win.
Today, Teagan's best friend Abby is stopping by to talk to us about magic and the mafia!
Me: It’s good to have you here with us, Abby.
Abby: It’s good to be here, Casey. Dumpster Boy usually gets all of the attention.
Me: You mean Finn?
Abby: That’s what I said, right? So, what did you want to talk to me about?
Me: Everything that’s been happening. Did you believe in magic and monsters before any of this started?
Abby: Goblins and invisible cats and stuff? Not exactly. I am totally psychotic though, so I knew something bad was coming—
Me: Um…do you mean psychic by any chance?
Abby: Now you sound like a Wylltson—like a constanant or two is important, when this stuff is life and death. I dreamed the things from Mrs. Wylltson’s paintings were coming for Tea. I told her, right? At first I thought Dumpster Boy was the nightmare, but it turned out that it was something worse. Whatever—they’re not gonna get her. You know why? Because she’s got a Gagliano watching her back.
Me: What's it like living in a mafia family?
Abby: (shrugs) Every family’s got issues. With mine, they’re just bigger, you know? I’ll give you a for instance. Your family might expect you to help them hide if the cops came after them, right? My Family? They’d expect me to help them hide a body.
Me: Who do you think would win in a fight—a goblin or one of your cousins?
