Please give a warm welcome to fellow writer Jamie Manning, who blogs at Writers Write, Right? Go check him out, I'll wait. Okay, back? Now look at what Jamie had to say about himself:
So, a little about me. Hmmm...awkward! Well, I'm 33 years old, soon to be 34 (in a month) and up until about a year ago, I've never really thought about trying to write a book. I mean, I thought about it when I was younger - I even tried it a couple times - but no /serious/ thoughts...until I read Twilight (I love any and all things vampire).
Now I know what most people are going to say. Twilight?! What?! But that book really turned me on to the writing world again. It isn't the greatest piece of fiction, but it lit a fire under me!
Since then, I've discovered this wonderful world of blogging and I haven't looked back. I've enjoyed discovering blogs and authors and tips on the craft of writing, all of which have given me some much-needed self-confidence (I honestly didn't have much before).
I'm a HUGE animal lover...if I had a dime for all the turtles I've helped cross the road I'd be rich! I have 3 awesome dogs that are the most important things in my life. No matter my day, I know they're anxiously waiting for me to get home so they can jump in my arms and lick my

Holy cow, I can't believe he's been dragged across a highway by a car! Are you sure he's not an angel?
Hmm or a ghost!! LOL. I did consider Angel. But I realize I might be a bit biased as I seem to find a lot of writer/angels lately. He he he. Plus the vampire attraction...
An elf, yes, that sounds spot on! Thanks for introducing us to Jamie. By the way, I love the new look of your blog.
Heather - thank you!! Glad you like. I needed something different...
Wow, thanks Lisa! It's so cool that you do this, and I think elf (or Angel, thanks Julie!) is spot on...nicely done!
The turtles thank you! Great interview, Jamie and Lisa!
Jamie - so glad you like it!! It was fun.
Lydia - yeah turtles!! Thank you. :D
It was fun meeting Jamie. Thanks, Lisa.
Tara - Thanks for visiting!
Yay for someone who was inspired to write a novel because of Twilight. At least he realized it's not the great piece of literature, but it still is really good. :)
Definitely Elven, Elvish, Elfified... Anyone who helps turtles cross the road is tops in my book. Although someone with three dogs could also be a shape shifter. All the best Jamie!
Leslie - Elfified huh? Cool.
A great short and sweet interview. Jamie sounds like a really cool guy. Actually... he'd make an awesome accident-prone character in a book. Hmmmm
Suzy - And that's the proof that ideas can come from anywhere at anytime!
Thanks for the intro to Jamie, the Elf. My goodness he's going to have a few adventures, isn't he?
BTW your new look is perfect for the winter season. I had to put on another layer of sweaters here today! :-)
WOw, that guy has been through a lot! And I am with Julie wondering about the car and the highway
Lee - thanks! Glad you like the look
Bekah - I know! Not boring at all, that's for sure!
I think you nailed it with the Elf thing. LOL
Angela @ the Bookshelf Muse
Angela - hey, thanks!
