1. Favorite Book - The Five Chinese Brothers

One of my favorite children's books is "The Five Chinese Brothers" by Claire Huchet Bishop and Kurt Wiese. It's a retelling of an old Chinese legend about five brothers who looked exactly alike with each posessing special abilities. When one is arrested for murder and condemned to be executed, they work together to outwit the executioner by using their individual abilities.

2. Pets

While I was at my friend's house, I sketched her parakeet Chomper (who bites people's fingers, so watch out!) She looks a lot like my parakeet, PK, who died a few years ago. I really miss him. =( But anyways, the smaller sketch is of PK, who loved to ride his little toy wagon around my house.

3. JC

After doing the wonderful portrait of me, I finally talked JC into allowing me to return the favor. *wink* But I couldn't keep two little fairies from hovering around my head while I illustrated her. So I added them. Meet Lily and Heather. Lily couldn't get over how beautiful JC is, and Heather just wanted to say hi to a fellow fairy lover. *grin*

5. Simple, relaxed and... fun!

If I had the honor of meeting her for real we'd be good friends for sure: we both love art, coffee and chocolate! ;)

6. Monday Artday Logo

Here's a couple of ideas... The top one is a logo I made entirely out of paper and glue (since you also have crafts challenges, too). The one below is a banner I created in which I featured my coffee cup, sketch book, computer, and my trusty mechanical pencil that I use for each of my sketches. This challenge was a lot of fun, Bearuh!

7. Free

Hi everyone, this is my first post here! I finally completed the series of ATC cards I was making on favorite chocolate experiences. One such experience is going to the Sees Candies store and getting their FREE samples.

Anyway, this looks like a fun group here, and I'm glad to join you! =)
