Fiddle-de-dee, Fiddle-de-dee,
The Fly has married the Bumble Bee,
Says the fly, says he,
“Will you marry me?
And live with me, sweet Bumble Bee?”
Fiddle-de-dee, Fiddle-de-dee,
Oh, I love you, and you love me!

This delightful retelling of a legend is imaginative and fun. The illustrations will tickle the funny bone of any child. Megan Lloyd's pictures are filled with fun things to see. What child wouldn't be thrilled to find the raccoon hiding behind a tree for example.
A mishap puts Davy Crockett in competition with the boys of the valley who had all come to woo the fair Miss Sally Ann Thunder Ann Whirlwind. In a dance off to end all dance offs Davy shows a talent yet to be seen. Davy's reason for dancing is unique and the outcome is not what he had planned when he came to the party.
The language of this book will have children giggling as they try to repeat words like they have never heard before. It is sure to set their feet to tapping and some may even get up and dance.
This book is sure to be read again and again.

Love all your sweet sketches, Hazel.
This one today is fantastic....
They all are~
You've got such a wonderful gift~
Diane
Adorable, and hilarious idea! Love the style with your great details and soft colors, and all those great critters. (The bear is looking a tad shell-shocked. Perhaps marriage was not something he imagined for himself when he woke up that morning!)
Hi Diane ... thanks! I love doing these little doodle sketches ... I don't get much time to think about them and that can sometimes help.
Thanks Cindy ... yes the bear got thrust into this role as groom and really isn't ready for marriage. I think Elizabeth Bennett looks a tad pushy too!
oh my goodness look at all those details. It' wonderful.
Love the way you create your characters Hazel. All your sketches are damn cute!lovely!
Thanks so much Joyeeta!
Wedding doodles. And then a Toodles...
