Participating in blog tours is something that I do quite often, but this one? Absolutely fantastic! Eric Berlin, author of The Puzzling World of Winston Breen (a book that absolutely flies off the shelves at our library), has his second book in the series, The Potato Chip Puzzles on shelves today. In honor of that, he has put together a series of puzzles, which will take place at seven different blogs, mine being the first. Solve the puzzles, win a prize! A HUGE prize to the person that solves all of the puzzles!! HUGE! All the details are below.I've had a chance to read and review The Potato Chip Puzzles and I think I enjoyed it even more than the first. It's fun, filled with mystery, lots of cool puzzles, and a just-dorky-enough-to-be-cool main character.
In The Potato Chip Puzzles, Winston is determined to win a puzzle hunt put on by potato chip tycoon, Dimitri Simon, and win the $50,000.00 grand prize. Unfortunately, Winston has some incredibly tough competition, the puzzles are ridiculously hard, his teacher is way too competitive, and at least one person is trying to force him out of the race altogether. Cheating is not ok with Winston and he decides to not only continue to fight to win the competition, but also to solve the mystery of the cheater, making for an even tougher journey and a completely wild ride.
Another Berlin title, filled with awesome puzzles kids are going to love and a thrilling mystery that keeps the pages turning. Winston Breen is well-known at our library already and I can already tell The Potato Chip Puzzles will be another one that is always checked out!
A great choice for libraries!
