I finally photographed the ATC I won from Debbie Egizio. I love it! She even decorated the envelope. I feel so lucky to have won this small gem. I collect small, handmade art, so it's perfect for my collection. Inside the heart it says, "Your heart draws true happiness". On the card it says, "Sing and your heart will smile". Thank you Debbie. As part of the contest, I agreed to spread the love. I am working on three ATCs which I will auction off here. Details to follow.

"retold" and "illustrated" by Barry Downard Simon & Schuster Put. The Photoshop. Down. Seriously, this is one of the most atrociously illustrated books I've seen in a stretch. Retelling the Aesop Tortoise and Hare fable what we have goes beyond the usual anthropomorphic animals, it actually grafts human features like eyes, lips, hair and teeth onto the animals to create a creepy Island of Dr.

A fresh morning with a damp breeze wafting perfumed billows across the fields...

One of a pair of boxing hares, too far away for my little snapper to get a decent shot. Not seeing me, being hidden in a dip in the meadow I managed to get quite close before it lolloped cautiously away through the dandelions.

The summer wheat bursting skywards.

The dainty print of a roe hind, recently passed through -

The hawthorn hedges bowed with heady blossoms -

Drowsy cattle at the back of the flour mill.

and home for breakfast.

That is definitely a cover I don't think I could bear to reach for, let alone touch, at the library or bookstore. Thanks for the review, er, warning. I think I'll stick with Milo Winter and Bugs Bunny.
