Today we team up with Associate Professor Vivian Vasquez of the Critical Literacy In Practice (CLIP) Podcast to bring you two distinct discussions of Tudley Didn’t Know, a completely entertaining, modern fable about the power of believing we can.
Click the play button (below) to hear our Just One More Book discussion, pop over to the CLIP Podcast to hear the story unpacked from the critical literacy perspective, and then share your thoughts on the subject by posting comments on either of our sites (or both).
Many thanks to Vivian for joining in the celebration of this fabulous book!

This week, Andrea had the immense pleasure of contributing to the inspiring and informative Critical Literacy in Practice podcast, CLIP Podcast.
The guest segment focuses on two fabulous books and two organizations that can help children see the power and possibility of relatively small, tangible gestures — just in time for the holiday season.
If you’re curious to know what Andrea sounds like without an espresso machine in the background, give it a listen here.
Thanks, Vivian!

I haven’t seen these yet. Thanks for pointing to them. I’ll share the site with students in my class.
The script that goes with the deer begs for analysis. Another read of what it says is “get this deer so your kid can practice killing it just like mom and dad do.” You might say this in your podcast (haven’t listened yet). Being a plush toy, it asks the child to cuddle with something the child will kill later. Creepy.
