It's the year of the dragon... hope everyone has a great year.
Tennins are spiritual beings found in Japanese Buddhist art that are similar to western angels. The can fly, and sometimes wear feathered kimonos called hagoromo ("dress of feathers").
I originally painted this illustration for Highlights for Children Magazine.

My only ghost illustrations. I did these many moons ago, but it was a fun change of pace.
