Interview:
If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 things would you want with you?
A notebook, a pen, and my favorite acoustic. I'd say my iPod and laptop, but batteries only last so long. And I'm assuming there is no power on this island?
What is one book everyone should read?
Ballads of Suburbia by Stephanie Kuehnert--not enough people have read this book. And it's sooooo good, especially if you were or ARE an artist or outcast.
If you were a superhero what would your name be?
Miss Volatile (actually this is my band's name)
If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
I could snap my fingers and be anywhere I wanted to be. Instant teleportation, man--always a dream of mine.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Does rainbow sherbet count? If not, Neapolitan is a very close second.
What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast?
Brownie caramel Luna bars. They're yummy, packed with vitamins (to detract from all the sugar ahem), and best of all--QUICK!
Is there anything you need in order to write? (ie Chocolate, quiet, music)
Music, for sure. Can't get into my characters heads without it.
Is there a song you could list as the theme song for your book or any of your characters?
Only one? That's tough. For Harmonic Feedback I'd say "Giving In" by Saltillo
What is your favorite quote?
This changes frequently, but here's my current favorite. "How wrong is it for a woman to expect the man to build the world she wants, rather than create it herself." ~Anais Nin
If you were a super hero what would your kryptonite be?
Balloons
If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
Diary of a Genius...(j/k) Probably something like....The Ethical Rebel. Or...yeah, I suck at titles. But I like the question!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Carrots dipped in vanilla ice cream.
What TV show/movie/book do you watch/read that you'd be embarrassed to admit?
*whispers* America's Next Top Model

Harmonic Feedback:
Sixteen-year-old, music- and sound design-obsessed Drea doesn’t have friends. She has, as she’s often reminded, issues. Drea’s mom and a rotating band of psychiatrists have settled on “a touch of Asperger’s.”
Having just moved to the latest in a string of new towns, Drea meets two other outs

thanks for the giveaway
Yay for the Anais Nin quote and self sufficient heroines who don't abdicate their sense of self. From the other, eastern Portland.

Great interview! I've seen a lot of good reviews on this book, and it seems like it'd be right up my alley. Thanks for the giveaway :)
I think I would choose teleportation too. I could be like that guy from Jumper!
Thanks so much for the contest and awesome interview! I love the carrots dipped in vanilla ice cream thing.
I've wanted this book since it came out and the fact that she's local to me makes me want to read it more!
Teleportation would definitly be a cool superpower. Think about how much gas and time you would save. Plus you could go anywhere at anytime.

Great interview! Teleportation is a good choice, very useful in everyday life. Also Carrots dipped in vanilla ice cream? Hmm, I might have to try that.

Liked this interview! and thanks for a chance at a great giveaway!
Okay, carrots in vanilla ice cream sounds gross but I like french fries in my milk shake so, who knows. But I love the premise of the book. Would love a chance to read it!
