The Crime Writers of Canada has announced the finalists for the 2009 Arthur Ellis Awards for excellence in Canadian crime writing
Res Judicata, a teen novel by Vicki Grant and published by Orca Book Publishers has been nominated in the “Best Juvenile” category. Res Judicata is the sequel to Quid Pro Quo, which won the Arthur Ellis Award in 2006.

This year marks the 26th anniversary of the prestigious awards, named after the nom de travail of Canada’s official hangman.

The winners will be announced at the Arthur Ellis Awards dinner on Thursday, June 4, at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa.
