When I first saw the current theme, I knew I wanted to use
©Anel, the character I've been developing. However, I wasn't sure how I wanted to depict her. Finally, I decided to illustrate her 3 dogs, which I recently introduced in my
blog, during their bath time.

I used marker paper for my illustration and began with a quick pencil sketch. Then, I used fine and medium micron pens to do my inking and detailing. Finally, I used Prismacolor pencils and a regular pencil to add some color and shading. I incorporate the drawing into my art journal, where I often use scripture. I decided Psalm 51:7, "Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow," was the perfect fit.
I would love to hear what you think about my artwork, so please leave a comment. I can't wait to see what other members of this blog post, so I can leave comments for them. If we don't motivate each other, no one else may do so. LOL! Have a blessed week.

Around 2001, when my family and I first got cable TV, my girls started watching the "Powerpuff Girls" on Cartoon Network. The show, which was created by animator Craig McCracken, centered around Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, 3 kindergarten-aged girls, as well as Professor Utonium, their father. According to the plot, the Professor wanted the "perfect little girl," so he mixed "sugar and spice, and everything nice," in his lab. However, he accidentally added "Chemical X," which gave him 3 girls with superpowers. As with many superhero series, the team fought fantastical villains and monsters who also had superpowers and/or weapons. The characters lived in the fictional city of "Townsville, USA" and were usually called into service by the city's mayor. It was a fun and wholesome show that could be enjoyed by both children and adults.

Most school secretaries that I have encountered love working with children. However, sometimes the school office secretary is scarier than the principal. Beware!
This is adorable, Arnoldo. I've actually given a dog a bath and this is EXAXCTLY what they do - jump out and shake off!!
Thanks for blessing us with your beautiful works of art at Word Art Wednesday.
