Andmapsandplans, aka Adrien Merigeau and Alan Holly, created this airy and evocative video for Jennifer Evans’s song “Scattered”. Merigau and Holly are also responsible for the recent Cartoon Saloon short Old Fangs.
Last weekend I attended a screening of animated shorts at the Sundance Film Festival. One of the highlights was Adrien Merigeau’s Old Fangs, seen here. There’s a production blog here.
It’s a gorgeous, evocative film. I’m glad YouTube has made it available online, though there was something very special about watching it on a big screen in an packed theater.
Probably my favourite short I've seen in the past few years, really excellent stuff and has a 'watch again' appeal. Love it!

This is amazingly beautiful. I was not prepared for just how emotional it was. I can imagine seeing this in a packed theater must have been very moving.
Bravo. Lovely work.
