I love to write about the crazy blurbs of life as they happen. I also post pictures of our family's favorite children's books.

Hangin' around on the farm

No, it's not a John Deere, but it's still cool

Me first! Me first!

Sweet hummingbirds at Miss Claudia's house

Enchanting, isn't it?

We had such a fun morning. My writing partner Becky Mushko's book, Ferradiddledumday is coming out this October. It's the story of Rumpelstiltskin with an Appalachian twist. She needed a shot of herself with some children for the back cover, so I loaned her mine. Our other writing partner, Claudia Condiff brought along her neighbor's child and Becky's cousin Hunter joined us too. We had a ball shooting around her farm, and the kids felt like celebrities.
Ben and Caroline had never seen miniature horses before, and Claudia's farm is next to Becky's so we couldn't resist the chance to play with them. Claudia brought out a bag of cookies and they almost knocked her over. The children were mesmerized. Claudia is working on a picture book about her miniatures. I wanted to take one home with me - they're so sweet! Don't they look like those big stuffed animals in FAO Swartz?
