I am new to the blogging world...so please forgive my blog if it does not meet the typical "blogging standards."
For two+ years now, I have been writing all sorts of materials for my interactive learning company. From on-line content and award winning business plans to newspaper ads and marketing information, and although I have gotten pretty good at these types of writing, I have come to miss my children's book writing more than anything.
It started as this little voice in the back of my head that seemed to take a back seat to all of the other important things I have been working on, but this voice has turned into something more--something I am unable to ignore.
Like many other writers, I have a preference for the type of writing I'd like to create. I have a filing cabinet (from a few years ago) of picture book manuscripts begging to be edited and sent of to the publishing houses, but how do I dust them off and begin to focus on the writing I'd like to do, when my writing life has taken back seat to my business. This month and this new year, I hope to find a balance in my writing for children and my business...otherwise, I may go nuts!
For those of you who have found the balance I am looking for, I wish you could share with me, "your recipe for success."
