I'm normally a pretty huge critic of numerology.
I remember once I saw Chuck Missler speak. Besides being a general prick in most respects, his lack of exegetical prowess is replaced with a lot of Zionist numerology. I don't think I lasted very long before deciding whether it would be quicker to throw my shoe at him or at myself. Truly, I wanted to push him off the pulpit and preach my own words or something.
I have since learnt to avoid such things especially people full of hot air, and who trust more in numbers than in God. People who, instead of the sufficiency of Christ from the normal way of reading the Bible, to proclaim a greater knowledge in reading the Bible as a patchwork tapestry with a secret message. It confounds me that people would want to preach on something as dull as a magical pattern to the Scriptures, and speculations on the end-times in comparison to the supremacy of Christ. More Here...
