News about Jonas Sickler Illustration, and hints for new illustrators
1. Art On The Porches 2011

jonas sickler illustration at art on the porches 2011Here is my display at the 2011 Art on the Porches event in Syracuse. I always have a blast there. I sold many prints, and tons of Indestructibles books.  Thanks to everyone who came to support me, and the other artists of Central New York! Now that I am done with this event, I hope I can begin to focus more on my book again (which has taken a sad seat on the back of my drawing table.)

We are also in the process of selling our home, so I may not get to the finished art as soon as I would like. Still, I plan to do some painting in the next week or two no matter what. That will at least put me on the right path. I am also planning a third painting to complete my Pierre camping series. Pierre and the troops go fishing. It should be a blast to paint!

This is the video from Channel 9 News Syracuse, Bridge Street, that featured my art and books the day before Art On The Porches. Great job, and many thanks to Charlene Bozzi for her very hard work and time on organizing the event this year! It is no easy task- artists and musicians can be a bit flighty :P
