Recently I attended my first writing conference - the SCBWI INDIANA CONFERENCE. It was intense, fun, and a great learning experience. I met some new friends, and enjoyed attending with writers from my critique groups.
The critique with an editor was too short but helpful. I don't know that I did anything right in the interview, but given the time of day, I was exhausted as was my brain, so nothing that came from my mouth made sense. Dare I say "babble"? The editor's written comments are worth a lot to me and will be taken seriously when rewriting my first novel.
The monthly critique groups will be the help I need to polish my work, and I am thankful they are all in my life. THANK YOU SO MUCH CRITIQUE GROUPS!
Until later, keep writing.
