1. Sleeping Beauty - My first illustrations for an iPad & iPhone App






Last year I almost had the chance to work on some static, grayscale illustrations for Kindle book reader device but I guess it wasn't meant for me to do it at that point.

Luckily, the digital publishing market is developing fast and it becomes more and more interesting and accessible so I recently illustrated for my first Portugal based client an adapted version of Sleeping Beauty as part of their Bedtime Stories Collection. The 13 full color illustrations are now used in an App that can be downloaded on your iPhone or iPad from the iTunes store. (But, as far as I know, you cannot access the App directly trough the computer.)

Although they are not animated, a certain degree of interactiveness exists as the child can turn the pages whenever he wants and he can also decide if the text is going to be read to him or overlayed on the pages in order to read it himself.

Anul trecut, aproape ca am avut ocazia sa lucrez la un proiect compus dintr-o serie de ilustratii statice si alb-negru pentru platforma Kindle dar, pana la urma, n-a fost sa se intample.
Din fericire, piata digitala a cartii se dezvolta asa de repede si de bine incat de curand am avut ocazia sa ilustrez, pentru primul meu client din Portugalia, o adaptare a Frumoasei din Padurea Adrmita, adaptare cu 13 ilustratii, de data aceasta, color.
