Pets Teach Us! What Matters Most in Life. Our animal companions teach life lessons - if we pay attention. Doesn't matter what age we are, we can all learn from our pets.
1. An opportunity for parents

We are in challenging times. If you like change - this is a heck of a time in which to live. Events on the international and national stage cry out for mature leadership. Hecklers from the sidelines provide distraction, but no real solutions.

When I created the Boomer and Halley Project nearly three years ago, no one wanted to talk about the need for civility. They wanted me on talk radio ranting and raving with the rest of the noise in order to "break through the clutter." Well, look at how well all of that has worked out. I give you Tuscon.

Now I'm back to basics. Boomer and Halley does something no one else is doing. We introduce civility to youngsters through entertaining stories. The pages of each B&H book in the series are embedded with core values like manners, respect, healthful eating, teamwork, and the like. Parents are given a tool to engage their young readers in thoughtful conversation about the values presented. They ask questions and discuss these notions in a way that is important to their family. Conversation not confrontation. Humor, not lecture. We want to inspire good behavior and find entertaining ways to reward it.

I ask you to check out our approach. Embrace the idea that these bedrock American values DO matter more than ever. It is up to the adults who guide our next generation to step up and take the wheel. I can only give you the vehicle. YOU, as a parent,  have to drive it.
