Christmas was wonderful! And I hope yours was as well, should you be a Christmas-celebrating type. I can't believe we actually had a white Christmas. First time ever (that I can remember) that we've had something like that. Kind of spectacular. Even if it did make getting home a bit of a challenge. Not too bad, though. And it was kind of exciting to get a chance to use the four-wheel drive. The snow was a lot worse at my parents' though. I got back here and asked, where's all the snow? We got a little last night, and by tonight, it's most-to-all melted-ed. :( Ah well. Such is life. It was good while it lasted.
And now, back to work. I'm resolving to read and write more and play on the internet less. This is my "practice week" so I'll be all ready to do just that when the New Year comes in.
Going to spend NYE with my friend I haven't seen in ages! It feels so good to get out, live life. Seriously. Thinking about other things (like, ahem, querying) makes me feel like I'm suffocating a little bit. So instead, I think about happier things. Like friends. Family. AWP conference! *So excited* it's in D.C. this year. I just registered, so let me know if you're gonna be there.
