Mindless blogging of an artist life.
1. Weekend fun.

After a week of reorganizing my writing life I decided to let loose.

I couldn’t let the weekend go by without some good ole Louisiana gator watching. Me and the family took a little adventure to 'Burn Out Bridge'. A bridge that runs straight through the middle of the swamp. This place is loaded with gator.
From what I have heard 'Burn Out Bridge' is a bridge that existed during the prohibition years. Many smugglers crossed this bridge. It stretches from Louisiana into Texas. People say the place is haunted due to smugglers being tossed over the side for the gator to ravage.

One thing I love about this place is how the moss draps over the trees. Being in the solitude of this swamp really can get the imagination going. We actually talk to a fisherman that said he saw a 20 foot gator. We never saw that one, not that I was seeking him/her out.

Going to the swamp really put me in the mood for some gumbo.

Laissez les bons temps rouler.
