Looking blue over the water funny
how the sea seems green
I barely think about you baby though
you’re always in my dreams
If I could bind the hands of time,
make you wanna stay with me
I’d rid life just like we knew it
then a blue sea it would be
Though I don’t have wings my darlin’
strong enough to fly
But I feel the strength you’re givin’ me
so everyday I try
Oh, I know that you’re in good hands
although I can’t tell you why
You have flown away before me
now my only hope’s to die
Kneeling down before the alter
never thought I’d see the day
That the lord above aside would shove me
and take my girl away
Calming waters bring on tidle waves
Concealing I’m so scared
Looking blue over the water
with no flight to take me there
Though I don’t have wings my darlin’
