poem -Look Again-about people of age having new chanches Stages of Life- special Mother's Day
1. Stages of Life a Mother's Day Poem

Stages of Life
by CJ Barrows

When the childre are babies they depend on their mother, to nurse them, to nourish them, hold them, rock them.
When the children are toddlers they cling to her, for love, attention, for protection.

When the children become big kids, they value her advice, her opinions, they long for her looks of approval.
When the children become older teens, they pull away from her, her advice, her wisdom,
determined to be individuals.

When the children are eighteen or so...they leave her to make their own decisions and to be on their own.
When the children marry and have a family, they come back to her, for they value her opions, they want her love, they desire her looks of approval.

When the children have children, they bring them to her, and she holds them, and rocks them, and loves them.
when their children's children, become teens, they come to her, for they value her advice, her opinons.

They long for her looks of approval. Sometimes her children wish that they were small again, so she could hold them, and rock them...
Finally, they understand what a mother is, and they hold her, and protect her, and love her, and give her looks of approval.
