1. Upcoming Appearances – hither and also yon, and where I’m not

Where I’m not right now: on the podcast, on twitter. I’m going through three major life events at once at the moment, plus one vicariously, and feeling at the limits of my mental and physical (and, often, emotional) capacities! Not to mention feeling the limits of time and space. So, I don’t have the wherewithal right now to stay on top of the podcast. As for twitter, in times of stress it’s too quick a distraction fix for me that I can tend to use when I least can afford it.

Therefore, I deactivated my twitter account for a bit, which is a thing you can do that looks like deleting your account but then if you log back in within 30 days, everything is still there. Neato. (This may mean this post doesn’t actually reach anyone, but I’ll cling to my hopes that web sites still matter. If you happen to be reading this, feel free to make liberal use of those share buttons.)

I expect things to return to relative normalcy at some point in April.

Meanwhile, if you miss me on twitter, I’m keeping my @sarazarrbooks going on Instagram.

Where I am! One local event coming right up, and two afar (but maybe local to you):

March 22: Weller Book Works  – Salt Lake City – 7 p.m. A Catholic, a Mormon, and a Presbyterian Walk into a Book Store…
Join me, Jonathan Ryan, and Jessica Day George for a discussion about one of my favorite topics: the intersection of art and faith and the imagination, and why good stories matter for us as a culture–maybe now more than ever. Free and free parking at Trolley Square. Tell a friend!

April 14-16: Festival of Faith and Writing at Calvin College – two panels
Everyday Dystopias: YA Realism and the Meaning in the Ordinary – panel with Bryan Bliss & Kate Bassett – Time TBA  //  Tracking the Seasons of a Writer’s life – 40-85 – panel with Jeanne Murray Walker, Luci Shaw, and Leslie Leyland Fields – Time TBA

April 30-May 1 – YALLWEST – Santa Monica, CA
