I am so thrilled that "Math Rapmatics: Mathematical Rhymes Right On Time" is now on Amazon.com I quite honestly meant to make this happen a lot sooner, but you know how life can go sometimes. Making time for faith, family, writing new books and teaching took a major chunk of my time, but I always managed to squeeze in author visits to schools, book fairs and libraries for Math Rapmatics.
This book is very near and dear to my heart. The math raps: Symmetry Is All Around, Congruent, Counting In Paris, Hungry Hungry Crocodile and Tick Tock were all created in the midst of students struggling in math lessons. I created raps on the spot to help pupils understand the math objectives. When I noticed my students teaching the raps to other children weeks later during recess I knew I had hit on a strong resource to make bring life to math!
