Das Leben als Ganzes nimmt den Tod nie ernst. Es lacht, tanzt und spielt, baut Häuser, sammelt Schätze und liebt, dem Tode zum Trotz. Nur wenn wir einen einzelnen Todesfall für sich betrachten, starrt uns seine Leere an, und wir werden von Grauen erfaßt. --Rabindranath Tagore.
Michael will live in our hearts. I can hear his tremendous, manly bass voice as we sang songs at the many concerts of the MGV-Kappel. If he was not present you could feel his absence. He was warm-hearted, jolly, wise, helpful and gentlemanly in nature. I remember the day he handed me a beautiful book with the title 'Kappel im Tal,' and the following words:
Lieber Satish, Willkommen in Kappel.
Als eine kleine Hilfe zur Orientierung in Deiner neuen Heimat soll dieses Buch Dir dienen.
