So the boy started school yesterday. Yep, he's now in Fourth grade. Yeah, I can't believe it either. I mean, the kid is almost taller than me at age 10. Sigh, it's tough to be short, but he is a good kid.
It is a tough transition for me as my work hours are now later due to the fact that his school doesn't start until almost 9 am. However, I do have to say that I do like the flexibility that this new job gives me, even though I don't have time to be online while I'm there.
In the meantime, I just contacted http://www.jazzednet.org/ and they seem VERY interested in the book and willing to not only review the book but possibly have me apply to do a clinic at a future conference! (Wowee!)
Oh right, there's the money factor - so it might have to wait, but still it is really tempting.... (Oh sorry, I was in dream mode there for a second)
My publisher Flying Turtle Publishing Flying Turtle informed me that they are going to be doing another Book Tour for "Journey to Jazzland" along with "My Peace Place" sometime in October. I'll try to keep you all updated on that.
I also have been thinking about doing another Picture Book Blog Hop since it was pretty successful the last time. If you are a picture book author and want to participate, please do let me know. Deadline to enter in will be September 27th - I want to start doing it the month of October (for Halloween) :)
DM me or write a comment below if you want in!
