1. Building My Dad's Garage Set - Part 1 (Model Building)

Moving from design to building the My Dad's Garage set for both camera and stop motion. In continuing to create and dress the set, we used simple materials, foam core, wood stain, craft sticks, craft wood, etc. to mock up scale models that can easily be used to make CNC cutouts of the actual set. Our scale is typically 1" = 1'.

Youssef Hassanein helps JH Everett build and paint the scale model pieces for the set.

We save everything! A great deal of organization time and space goes to recycled and reusable material. Even foam core dust becomes amazing snow filler for stop motion. Yep, we even use the dust.
