A blog full of fun and crazy creative writing with a hint of Latin spice!
1. Mojito Mayhem

I enjoy a good Mojito but I have a special request to all bartenders:

PLEASE CHECK YOUR MINT LEAVES!

Yes, it has happened to me twice and the worse thing to find in your tall, cool glass of mojito are ‘moldy mint leaves’.
Who does that? Who does NOT check the garnishes before putting them into a glass and serving it to a patron? I’ll tell you who! Riviera Maya restaurant in Rockaway NJ…that’s who!

I’m not one of those people who complains but when my drink is served with moldy mint leaves and the waiter offers to bring me another Mojito with FRESH mint leaves after my complaint….ahhhh, my question is: Why didn’t I get fresh mint leaves in the first place? Like, seriously, do you think I trust you to bring me a fresh drink with FRESH garnishes….? I don’t think so. I opted for a Corona and to be honest, I will NEVER ask for a drink with ANY garnishes at this place IF I return.

Mr. Eve happens to LOVE this place and although the food is ok (try the tamales if you go there), I don’t see myself returning.

Mint leaves – are to be served fresh and not dark brown or black. Damn, the wild mint leaves growing in my back yard are FAR fresher than what those bloody fools served me.

SHAME ON YOU BARTENDERS WHO DO NOT CHECK YOUR GARNISHES BEFORE OPENING YOUR DOORS!

Life is good, when your MINT LEAVES are FRESH!

Eve
