1. An Announcement

Up to this point, my posts have been kind of random. I don’t have a whole lot to blog about right now, and that’s okay. I’ve applied to Mercy Ministries, a six-month, faith-based treatment program for girls ages 13-28. I won’t know if I’ve been accepted until July 22nd. I’m waiting to build an online presence until after I go if I go.

When I get back, I want to start a speculative fiction literary e-zine. My working title is “Worlds of the Mind”. I will accept stories under 10,000 words and press releases, book, movie, and game reviews, and articles under 500 words. I’ll also accept artwork.  Writers and artists would keep all rights to their work. If anyone wants to submit, see my website, anastasiafaith.weebly.com for submission guidelines. I won’t charge for the e-zine, and it will be a mobile app rather than an email magazine.

I also desperately need money for editing. I should be able to get a job by next spring, but I’m not sure if the classes I’ll be taking will be enough. So, I’m considering starting a Pubslush fundraiser next January. I want to raise awareness now, because marketing one in the process is kind of a hassle.

I will need $1800.00. Rewards will include paperback copies of each book, e-book bundles with RTF, mobipocket, ePub, and PDF files, a future book dedicated to the donors, a book launch party invitation (to the physical one for those in Nashville and to the Twitter one for those elsewhere). I might throw in a subscription to Worlds of the Mind.

Anyway, this is goodbye, at least for now (possibly). I’ll see you in January if the Mercy thing works out and next month if it doesn’t.
