Dianna–I don’t know if it’s true, but I read somewhere that our heart rate goes up when we check our email/blog/facebook page. The writer hinted that it was not a healthy thing to check many times a day.
I check too often–and all I have is email and my blog to tend to—and it’s a big time-sucker. Perhaps this post of yours will nudge me to just check once or twice a day.
Wow — hadn’t read this, Sioux! Makes sense, though. I’ve heard (believe it or not) that multiple “likes” on Facebook can actually have the same emotional effect on some as a sexual encounter. Can’t say that’s ever happened to me, but the elevated heart-rate theory is interesting, too.
