1. UPDATE ON MIRA'S LIST AND UPCOMING EVENTS

Greetings long lost friends,

I am still alive and kicking but not doing this blog anymore. I do, however, go around the country and speak about the things that are on this blog: grants, fellowhips, residencies, how to get published, what opportunities are out there for all the arts, how to write a successful grant application, etc. And, as I state in the post below, Mira's List is still a great resource to peruse. I have many useful links, articles, interviews, etc. And  I will continue to share arts opportunities information on my Mira's List facebook page as well as twitter, so feel free to follow me there.

I am currently speaking at various events, universities and other venues about how to find time, money and a place to create. The next one coming up is at the TransCultural Exchange Conference in Boston next week, Oct. 9-13. I will be moderating a panel on how to fund your creative projects on Friday, October 11th, 2013. Go here for more information: http://www.transculturalexchange.org

I will also be in Kansas City next month, speaking at two venues, one on opportunities in the arts on Sunday, Nov. 3rd: http://www.artistinckc.com/events/re-fresh-series/mira-bartok-finding-money-time-space
and on how to get published on November 4th: http://www.artistinckc.com/events/re-fresh-series/mira-bartok-i-wrote-a-book-now-what-

If you are interested in bringing me to your institution, please write me at [email protected] for fee information and availability.

I also skype with different institutions, in case your organization or school doesn't have enough to bring me there. Just email me and ask about my skyping fees.

So make great art and pay it forward....share information about opportunities to those you know and to those who need it most.

Cheers,
Mirabee
