Follow along with me as I take the steps to becoming a children's illustrator and perhaps find a home for the book I wrote/illustrated. Also see my other most recent children's illustrations.
1. Why I Made My e-book Free

I recently made my e-book Actuality: A Teenage Vampire Novella free, and I’m sure there are some out there who are like, “Why is this crazy lady giving her book away for free?” Well, let me tell you why. I did it for a couple different reasons.

First off, my story never sold tons of copies. Dec. 2011 was my best sales month ever with 115 copies sold, but since then it has drastically dwindled, which is to be expected because I put out Actuality almost two years ago. So, I wanted to bring some love to Actuality, and some love was gotten. Not tons, but some at least. Including sales and free downloads about 1,200 people are in possession of my book, might be a few more, but it’s roughly around there. Super mega hit? No, but I have been getting some feedback, which leads to reason number two to why I made my book free.

Secondly, I wanted to know if more than three people would be interested in reading more about Heather and Wade, and guess what? Some actually are. It might only be like six people, but at least I have a few dedicated fans to my novella. Trust me, there’s some people who highly dislike like Actuality, but I like to focus on the positive. Now I know that it might be worth continuing the second installment. I never intended to write a second book. I didn’t start until recently, but now those six people want some more, so I’m working on it. I’m thinking about posting it in parts here on my blog as I write it, but if you subscribe to my newsletter you’ll be the first ones to get a sneak peek.

So those are my main two reasons why made Actuality: A teenage Vampire Novella free. It's available at

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords and many other fine online retailers.

For the first sneak of what happens next with Heather and Wade subscribe to my newsletter, or check back here in a bit and read the first part. You can also follow my Facebook page for up to date info.
