A New Adventure Series for Children of All Ages

Introduction

OLIVER Fitzsimmonds and Alphineas Sprout were briskly making their way across the Upper Highlands. They had to be quick if they were going to reach the children in time.

The Upper Highlands is the large and perilous north central region of Brunswick Island and among the countless hills and valleys lies an ancient redwood forest and a dense milky swamp.

Travelers Trail is the main passageway that crosses the island from north to south, and it cuts right through this seemingly boundless expanse of land. It snakes along with many twists and turns, and if you must travel through, you are wise to stay this course.  If you do take this suggestion – and you should – you may be able to avoid trouble. But there are hundreds of other trails criss-crossing the region and, well, it is very easy to lose your way. Some of these trails can be strange and unfamiliar. And some of these trails can be very strange and unfamiliar. Take a wrong turn on one and you may find yourself somewhere very different than where you started.
