This site is for the Newbie Author, the Dreaming-of-Becoming An Author, the Authors who can helps us Newbie's and every Passionate Reader out there.
1. Looking At "The Big Picture" Part 1

We have all had someone tell us that sometimes you just have to take a step back and look at "the big picture". The fact of the matter is that our journey to authorship requires that we do so.

Truth is something that we must tell to everyone, including ourselves. Be honest about your expectations when looking for an agent to represent you. Be candid with the publishing company that wants to represent your book and by all means let your publicist know that you expect them to work just as hard as you do.

Help is something that we might hesitate to admit needing but don't shy away from it. Ask for help from others before its too late to make a difference. Becoming an author won't happen without it.

Engage in working your plan to becoming an author everyday. Do something even if it is just sending off one email or query letter. The more you stay engaged the more you will stay on track. Pebbles can make ripples which can soon lead to waves.

Sorry we're going to end it there this week but check back next week for the discussion of "Big"-Part 2
