Khristian A Howell worked as a designer at Nordstrum when she first began reading Print & Pattern before going freelance and creating her own design studio and label. Today we have a celebration of New York stationery company Galison, who since 2012 have been part of the same company as Chronicle Books. We begin with a Geometric range created in house at Galison and follow on with designs by various artists. Following on from Monday's Paperchase post I just wanted to mention two of their new collections. One is a graphic range called 'Love from London', which features colourful hand drawn London buildings and union jack flags on a variety of stationery and products. The second is a tropical collection called 'Lets Squawk' featuring jungle leaves, parrots, toucans, and other exotic birds. 

This bright, colourful range of products are the work of MaggieMagoo Designs, founded in 2015 by designer Carole Fenwick. Their tea towels, notebooks, tote bags and art prints are available here on Etsy. They have recently added purses, pencil cases & embroidery hoop art to the collection which will be available at various craft fairs including Crafted by Hand at Masham in Yorkshire on July 3rd

This new stationery collection from The Art File caught my eye this week at John Lewis. It reatures loosely illustrated lemons and pears with interesting textures such as dashes and scribbles laid on top. The colours are a sophisticated choice on the pear design with blues, greys and pinks keeping things cool. Also in the collection are a bold yellow lemon print and a warm pink watermelon

Also at John Lewis you will find an exclusive own label stationery collection called 'Denim'. Featuring on notebooks, list pads, planners, pens, photograph albums, etc Denim is a range based on a painterly floral design with strong navy blue highlighted with accents of bright yellow or red. Last time I featured Copenhagen based illustrator Michelle Carlslund on P&P (in July 2014) she was planning to expand her product range. Today I am looking at the Spring arrivals in my favourite shop Paperchase, and the range that I admired the most was the fun 'Animal Gang' collection. Featuring stylised owls, lions and other cute characters the print appears on a greetings card, pen pots, pencil cases, sticky notes, and more. Animal gang is in stores and online now.

BY MAY is a Stockholm based design studio and brand founded by Johanna Örn and Maria Bergström. The duo are hugely inspired by graphic prints and playful geometrics and use them on stationery and homewares.
