Yes, that’s really the new *cough* logo for the 2012 Olympic Games. And while it has been causing “fits” of frustration and dissent among the public, it was actually the animation in a recent ad for the Games which is in the news for triggering epileptic fits in viewers.
You can view some of the ad here on BBC’s site (obviously, please don’t view it if you actually suffer from epilepsy). If that link doesn’t work, go to the original news page, and click on the very tiny “watch” button on the right of the page.
From a BBC article:
A segment of animated footage promoting the 2012 Olympic Games has been removed from the organisers’ website after fears it could trigger epileptic fits.
Prof Graham Harding, who developed the test used to measure photo-sensitivity levels in TV material, said it should not be broadcast again.
Charity Epilepsy Action said it had received calls from people who had suffered fits after seeing it.
And:
Emphasising that it was not the logo itself which was the focus of worries, she (A London 2012 spokeswoman) said: “This concerns a short piece of animation which we used as part of the logo launch event and not the actual logo.”
Heh! Interesting that she felt the need to clarify that it wasn’t the logo that was to blame!
I now brace myself for the repeated punches to the neck I shall no doubt receive from the Olympics’ army of friendly lawyers.

I like it very much, especially how you successfully managed to use warm colours, although we usually associateglass to cool colours.
